Job Description

IAS is seeking an experienced HR Professional to join our Team!

Major job responsibilities include:

Recruitment- Use your creativity to promote IAS and to recruit seasonal, hourly and salaried positions. Use your flair with social media to increase awareness, network at career fairs and social events, and promote IAS through web, print and radio advertising.

Communications and Community Relations- Develop brand awareness through print and on-line advertising. Keep the IAS website fresh with press releases, news and a “look” that is supportive of company initiatives.

Benefits/Safety Administration- Manage the company wellness initiatives, gaining “buy-in” with employees across all levels of our organization. Promote safety initiatives and work closely with managers and employees to reach company goals.

Coach- As a member of the HR Team, you will coach managers and employees to utilize various platforms, understand policies and procedures and assist in promoting a spirit of team work.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • An undergraduate degree in Human Resources or Business Management or Marketing with a minimum 4 years experience in roles with progressive levels of responsibility
  • The ability to work independently, with a high level of initiative, effort and commitment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of organization with the ability to manage several projects running concurrently
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience with Advanced Excel required
  • ADP Workforce Now experience a plus!

 

Primary Objective: In an effort to achieve the goals set forth in the company mission statement, the objective will be to work in the following areas as primary lead to drive HR initiatives in our West Region.

The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.

This position serves in many roles, high organizational skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively is required.

Areas of Accountability:

Recruitment

  • Recruiting – Drive recruitment of hourly FT, and Seasonal employees and FT salaried employees for West region of IAS with backup support to East region as needed. Support HR team in building relationships with educational and community sources to build applicant pool for short and long-term sourcing for future employees. Attend Job Fairs, Networking events etc. to build branding of IAS as an employer.
  • Applicant Tracking System expert with ability to train others on use of product.
  • Drive Social Media initiatives (Facebook, Linked In etc.)
  • Work with Background Platform on a routine basis
  • Onboarding platform expert with ability to train others on use of product.
  • Manage advertisement expense tracking.

  • Create Communications for Corporate Website - Write Press Releases, Radio copy, Print copy,
  • Newspaper advertising and online advertisement
  • Help Develop Branding of IAS and maintain a corporate brochure
  • Create Communication for Internal Insights Newsletter and Customer AgBiz Publication
  • Manage employee and customer appreciation event planning

Other HR Team Duties

  • HR Coach – application of handbook policies to help coach and aid supervisors in employee documentation
  • Ability to work in all HRIS platforms
  • Support company training initiatives as needed
  • Write reports out of ADP system to support management
  • Content management of electronic and paper files
  • Other duties as assigned to support HR team and company initiatives

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Under graduate degree in human resources, or business management/marketing, and/or equivalent of education and experience. Minimum 4 years’ experience.
  • Self-Directed, with limited supervision, displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate information or ideas effectively in written or oral form, as well as by phone and online
  • Ability to organize, deals with change effectively, and work on multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to successfully participate in recruitment PI Training Program & support Company initiatives once trained
  • Microsoft Office Suite programs. Advanced Excel required. Microsoft Publisher Skills and ADP Workforce Now experience a plus.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Adaptability:

  • Requires static strength to lift, push, pull, or, on occasion carry objects with a minimum weight of 50 pounds.  Also flexibility to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.  Some tasks involve repetitive motion.
  • Agricultural Environment – Possible exposure to seasonal weather, outdoor conditions, and agriculture products.
