Job Description

Based out of our Home Office in Greenwood Village, CO, Red Robin is seeking an energetic Business Analyst that will help bring our next-generation technologies to life.  The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable working with business stakeholders and software engineers to define and implement meaningful solutions. The Business Analyst will focus on ways to engage our Guests how, when and where they want to engage with us, providing a frictionless, differentiated experience in the process.  The Business Analyst will be expected to take ownership and become an expert in specific areas of the Guest Experience domain such as Red Robin’s website, mobile applications, Social Media, IoT, the Red Robin Royalty program, Consumer Insights and/or Guest relations.  With guidance from the BSA, he or she will gather requirements, identify/implement process improvements, pinpoint opportunities for innovation and serve as a linchpin in the success of strategic projects.



  • Performs requirements gathering, including:
    • Eliciting and documenting requirements
    • Organizing requirements
    • Analyzing requirements and suggesting modifications/improvements
    • Translating and simplifying requirements
    • Identifying Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for initial phases
    • Identifying process inefficiencies and recommending/driving improvements
  • Serves as Agile Product Owner for his/her areas of ownership which includes User Story definition and/or review, Backlog Grooming and active participation in Sprint Planning
  • Builds and manages stakeholder relationships, including business partners, users, vendors, project/program team members and management leaders
  • Participates in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm the quality of requirements implementation prior to deployment; May also plan and execute User Acceptance Testing
  • Works with project and program management, as well as implementation teams, to ensure that deployed solutions conform to requirements and functional specifications
  • Supports change requests and assists with testing scenarios and validation of results
  • Monitors the progress of analysis, design, development, testing, and reporting of projects assigned to the team
  • Supports senior program and project team members in managing, tracking and resolving project issues, mitigating risks, and preparing project deliverables
  • Supports interviews and business and technical analyses that are used to determine present and future business performance and to create Business Cases for projects
  • Documents and analyzes relevant business information and data
  • Participates in business process management efforts to collect and analyze metrics and continually improve processes owned by the group
  • May assist QA Engineers in the development of Test Cases


  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of relevant business analysis experience preparing and documenting business requirements, use case diagrams, user stories and business process modeling diagrams
  • Understanding of Agile Scrum and/or certifications
  • Experience working across multiple domains with various business stakeholders
  • Experience leading technology or business professionals to meet specific value objectives
  • Strong understanding of IT operations and IT integration lifecycles, templates and methodologies
  • Analyzing and tackling problems with a logical and methodical delivery approach 
  • Planning, designing and implementing quality solutions
  • Asks probing questions. Listens attentively to understand others’ needs, ideas and concerns
  • Proven ability to think strategically and to communicate the strategy to others
