Internal Corporate Communications Manager

Job Description

Based out of our Home Office in Greenwood Village, CO The Internal Communications Manager will be responsible for the development, execution and measurement of strategic communication plans for internal stakeholders that support and promote the objectives and strategies of the business. This includes the development and execution of internal and executive communications. In addition, the role is responsible for partnering with leaders to craft the internal communication strategies which motivate and connect team members with our mission, values, culture and brand.



• Support content creation and messaging for key internal events (period leadership meetings, town halls, etc.).
• Research, write and edit communications materials for a variety of channels and audiences (e.g., daily news stories for corporate intranet, presentations for leadership meetings and town halls, talking points for leaders, etc.) using a variety of methods: print, digital, social media, mobile, video
• Assist with the selection, design and management of company intranet site
• Partner with team members in other areas of the business on cross-functional projects
• Write, edit and enhance internal communication materials to ensure accuracy, clarity and appropriateness along with sound alignment to corporate initiatives and objectives
• Ensure a “corporate voice” permeates messaging to team members and stakeholders
• Work closely with executive team and departments to keep abreast of company developments and trends
• Assist with the development and implementation of new and existing communication vehicles
• Provide insightful feedback to others on communication needs and issues
• Partner with VP Talent Management to execute communication programs and strategies that drive team member engagement
• Support business leader’s communication needs; develop and distribute system wide team member communications from executives and business areas
• Provide consulting and communications support to Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HRBPs and Talent Management teams to improve effectiveness of HR programs
• Collaborate with colleagues across all functional areas to develop and deliver timely, complementary internal communications messages as they may relate to external news
• Develop an organization wide communication strategy for Red Robin

• Other duties as assigned by Vice President of Talent Management


• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Communicators, Journalism, Marketing, or English
• 5-7 years of communications experience
• Experience with multiple departments and geographically dispersed team member population
• Advanced user in Microsoft suite and various technologies and communication platforms
• Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience using a wide array of channels and tools to creatively communicate messages
