The Senior Technical Account Manager serves as the technical lead for new or existing integrations, implementations, testing, go-live, and beyond. Senior Technical Account Managers coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure projects are completed on time, and with a high level of quality and customer satisfaction. The Senior Technical Account Manager also serves as an escalation point for the complex accounts under their assignment.

  Key Position Responsibilities 
  • Support onboarding new partner integrations and continued support for existing partner integrations
  • Act as a primary technical point of contact (POC) for partner accounts
  • Assist with partner issues including installation, configuration, maintenance, and identify and implement improvements to processes, documents, tools, and reports to benefit the customer process
  • Coordinate product releases that involve cross-functional teams (QA, Development, Support, Sales, IT) and partners
  • Assist with driving technical projects from inception to Go Live, and beyond
  • Ensure adoption and successful delivery for partners on all applicable products and services
  • Perform annual account review meetings, on-site visits with assigned accounts, and coordinate account health review meetings (short and long-term account coordination)
  • Perform regular review of open items/enhancement requests per partner
  • Proactively work with partners to ensure seasonal readiness
  • Provide innovative ideas to enhance various aspects of the software based on customer suggestions, demos, training, and new business requirements.
  • Provide training, both internally and externally, on the usage of the software as well as best practices as it relates to the application and specific business needs of the partner/customer
  • Represent partners during emergencies, and perform customer-specific crisis communications
  • Communicate issues through the partner escalation process as needed

Minimum Position Responsibilities 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with new customer implementations, advanced technical support or similar experience
  • Software industry experience preferred, software-as-a-service industry experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Sovos product offerings in the relevant Product Market
  • Strong knowledge of tax rules and processes in the relevant Product Market
  • SQL queries and scripting a plus
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Effective internal & external communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Successful completion of intermediate client projects while adhering to the project constraints
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Projects a positive and professional image to clients and internal organizations
  • Proficiency with project management software, CRM software, as well as the Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Possesses strong business acumen
  • Minimal travel required to Sovos locations or events
  • Must be willing to work outside of core business hours at times
