This entry level Software Support Engineer opportunity is a key position in Cvent’s Sofware Development teams, which design, develop, and operate large-scale, Internet-based applications. The responsibilities of this position are varied and include the following: Provide support, troubleshooting, and product knowledge to Cvent’s Client Services team, which involves debugging software issues, querying databases, and coordinating with technology teams on issue resolution. You will assist with integration support by monitoring error logs, fixing data issues, and confer with other teams and clients on implementations. You’ll also maintain, design, and develop backend systems for our internal and external software offerings as well as assist in resolving performance issues. This person excels at multitasking, working with multiple teams to resolve issues and ensure that our product offerings are user-friendly and bug-free. A strong knowledge of database management systems, object oriented design, and software development are essential.


What You Will Be Doing

  • Providing top-tier software support for Cvent’s product offerings to our customer service team and clients.

  • Assisting operations and development teams with debugging software issues.

  • Quering databases to generate and analyze data for reporting and troubleshooting.

  • Ensuring the successful operation of our partner and client integrations and consulting on implementations.

  • Working with multiple teams to find, analyze, and resolve client issues.

  • Troubleshooting and maintaining frontend and backend systems.

  • Monitoring document and report system and performance issues.

  • Facilitating communication between technology teams and other departments on issue status and resolution.

  • Supplying in-depth technical and business product knowledge to multiple teams.


What You Need for this Position

  • The successful candidate will have 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent required.

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Solid understanding of relational databases and the Software Development Life Cycle.

  • Familiarity with SQL, HTML, XML, C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript and similar technologies.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to convey technical information to a general audience.

  • Aptitude for learning new technologies.

  • Zealous attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with software deployment, website analytics, web service APIs and version control systems is a plus.
