POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager of Fixed Asset and Lease Accounting will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fixed asset management and lease accounting in addition to restaurant accounting for our multi-unit restaurant company. This pivotal role involves ensuring compliance with accounting standards, implementing efficient processes, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES – Including, but not limited to:

·         Maintain a comprehensive fixed asset management system.

·         Oversee the accurate and timely recording of fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.

·         Perform regular reconciliations to verify the accuracy of fixed asset balances and related accounts.

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor and control capital expenditures.

·         Manage lease accounting processes in accordance with ASC 842 or relevant accounting standards.

·         Record lease agreements, lease modifications, and related transactions accurately and timely.

·         Perform lease classification tests and ensure proper lease accounting treatment.

·         Collaborate with real estate, legal, and supply chain teams to evaluate the financial impact of lease agreements and contracts.

·         Supervise and mentor the restaurant accounting team responsible for day-to-day financial activities at individual restaurant locations.

·         Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including revenue, expenses, and inventory.

·         Provide insights into financial performance and variances to budget or forecasts.

·         Collaborate with restaurant managers and operational teams to monitor and analyze costs.

·         Assist in coordinating with internal and external auditors during audit processes.

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and finance, to achieve overall company goals.

·         Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.

·         Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and proactively adapt processes to maintain compliance.

·         Other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.

 

SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS

Experience/Training:  

6+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on fixed asset and lease accounting.

 

 

 

Required

·         Strong knowledge of accounting standards, including ASC 842.

·         Ability to manage multiple time demands and deadlines.

·         Ability to prepare financial analyses from general ledger data.

·         Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

·         Advanced Excel skills.

·         Outstanding interpersonal, leadership, problem solving and decision-making skills.

·         Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

·         Detail oriented, positive attitude and a proven ability to succeed.

 

Preferred:

·         Public accounting experience.

·         JD Edwards experience a plus.

 

Certifications & Licenses

  • Long Term Disability (Provided at no cost to team member) – 50% base salary LTD benefit continues salary if you are medically unable to work following 26 weeks of Short-Term Disability benefits.
  • After 6 months of employment you are eligible to participate in the company’s 401(k) plan upon reaching 21 years of age. The company provides discretionary matching contributions subject to Board approval quarterly.

Salary Range: $90,000-95,000
