Job Description

Aspira Corporate Human Resources Team Overview

  • The Aspira corporate Human Resources (HR) department spearheads and manages all Aspira human resources activity to maximize the productivity and optimization of human capital. Designing, executing, and serving accountable to an array of future-oriented cultural, structural, and personnel employment management technique, the team builds Aspira capabilities in alignment with company strategy to secure Aspira’s competitive advantage and continued growth.

Position Purpose and Impact

  • The Aspira Human Resources Generalist serves to support the daily functions and workflows of the Aspira HR department to ensures efficient and timely execution of department processes, company policies, administrative tasks, HRIS updating, and record keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Handles employee and employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and various internal stakeholders to provide front-line assistance as one of the first-touch resources to the HR department.
  • Manages employee onboarding, offboarding, employee promotions and changes, HRIS data entry, composition and maintenance of personnel files, and I9 and E-Verify processing.
  • Supports the Company’s progressive discipline process, by reviewing management submissions for discipline against Company policies, approving disciplines for administration, and joining disciplinary meetings.
  • Acts as a liaison between employees and HR, supporting recognition programs and cultural initiatives.
  • Actively participates in the development and completion of department projects, by: attending administrative meetings, executing assigned tasks, and contributing to project success.
  • Meets personal position Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and effectively serves to support and drive the HR department ability to achieve annual HR goals and initiatives, as well as a competitive and supportive culture.
  • Manages sensitive and proprietary Company information with complete confidence and proper observation of position, department, and Company standards.
  • Performs position in a manner where self-actions represent and create an engaged employee environment where each employee is treated fairly, information is transparent, dialogue is active, and all staff are encouraged to act with their best behaviors and skills each day.
  • Promotes Aspira policies and procedures, the quality of its products and reputation, and consistently supports compliance and all applicable regulatory initiatives by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Performs all responsibilities with a stakeholder-first focus; completing the daily and weekly hours required to ensure the duties of the position are satisfied.
  • Supports the Aspira and the human resources department by participating in relevant projects and priorities and competing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Incorporates a high attention to detail and professional craftsmanship to all work output so Company documents and emails well represent a corporate Human Resources office.
  • Demonstrates an ability to attack tasks with drive and energy, and finish all items started within work output.
  • Ability to be well organized and resourceful, working on multiple tasks at once without losing track, planning for obstacles or obstruction, and seeking management guidance as needed to maximize task execution and time management.
  • Holds self and others accountable for all work activities with a goal fo ensuring department service level agreement (SLAs) metrics are always met.
  • Actively contributes new ideas to improve HR workflows, optimization, or results.
  • Exercises ethical practices, respectful words and behaviors, and equitable treatment of others in all activities.
  • Ability to manage strong working relationships within the company. Knowledge of, and the ability to, effectively interact within and across Divisions, Departments in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Provides excellent internal and external service to employees and stakeholders, striving for one time resolution, and always maintaining a polished and professional representation of Aspira HR.

Desired Education and Experience:

  • 2-4 year of experience processing payroll in ADP Workforce Now platform (preferred).
  • Knowledge creating customer and standard reporting in the ADP platform.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of payroll and benefits-related theories, practices, laws, regulations, and procedures. (Preferred).
    Excellent verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
  • Ideal - 1 year of experience processing and handling Leave, FMLA, accommodations, claims, etc.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll is preferred.
  • Experience processing payroll for 300-600 employees in the US and Canada. 
  • Client facing experience and able to prioritize and manage multiple skills.

 Desired Hardware and Software Competency

  • Microsoft Suites Basic Level: Professional with suites in an office setting for email, presentations, etc.
  • Microsoft Excel Basic Level: Basic excel experience using rows, columns, groups, filters, and basic SUM formulas.
  • HRIS Software: ADP Workforce Now and HireBridge beneficial

General Physical Demands

  • Visual Acuity: Close visual acuity to read and analyze data on a computer monitor.
  • Hearing Ability: Must be able to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through electronic media.
  • Manual Dexterity: Operation of a phone, keyboard, mouse, and general office equipment.
  • Repetitive Motion: Regular and consistent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and other computer-related tasks.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasional lifting and carrying of office supplies and materials weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Sedentary Work and Body Position: The majority of work is performed while stationary or sitting at a desk or computer workstation. Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer are required. The ability to maintain the required body positions for extended periods, including sitting and using a computer is required. The ability to move within an office setting as well as departing and returning to a workstation punctually for assigned breaks periods is required.
Skills & Requirements Qualifications
