$16.10 starting rate;
Afternoon shift 16:00pm-12:00am
The Oven Operator is responsible for operating Oven, Retarder & Proofer for appropriate processing of bagels
Comply with all applicable legislative and Weston Bakeries food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Monitor & adjust oven & kettle temperatures, also the retarder/ proofer parameters
Ensure Lot #’s of toppings are recorded for traceability purposes
Top up the stock of ingredients / materials used for the process
Monitor FIFO and organization in ingredient storage area/racking
Report any quality and/or process variation to the Production Supervisor in a timely manner
Follow production schedule to ensure production is running on time
Conduct change overs and related tasks as required
Keep the area clean and put away utensils in the proper location after use.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Past experience in bakery is an asset.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
•Ability and skill to quickly acquire knowledge of our baking process and products.
•Strong communication and math skills.
•Ability to work a flexible 8 hour shift
