Job Description

Responsible for assisting the Purchasing Director with identifying, coding and tracking aged inventory items and combo packs and their disposition.  Coordinate with Business managers, price posting, inventory control and warehousing as required.  Analyze existing reports, create and track new reports as required.

 

Skills & Requirements
  1. ESSENTIAL POSITION RESULTS

 

Run monthly aged inventory reports (summary and detail); input summary data into monthly tracker, sort detail data by Business Manager; pass to Purchasing Director for review;

 

Run monthly combo case inventory report from Diver; input data into monthly tracker; pass to Purchasing Director for review;

 

Review monthly inventory comparison report and update monthly inventory and inventory/sales comparison reports;

 

Maintain monthly sales reports of aged inventory by Business Manager;

 

Run mid-month reports to track progress by Business Manager;

 

Run weekly bottle close-out sales inventory report and update status codes accordingly;

 

Run aged inventory reports and prepare for monthly meetings with Business Managers and EC;

 

Create, extract or run various inventory reports to review and analyze new items and their monthly sales;

 

Create, extract or run any new reports or perform analysis that may become necessary in the review of new, existing or old inventory;

 

Coordinate with Inventory Control and Warehouse to verify cycle counts and vintage integrity;

 

Coordinate with Business Managers regarding pricing of aged inventory items;

 

Coordinate with Price Posting to make sure items have been price-posted;

 

Coordinate with Inventory Control and Warehouse for case and/or bottle slotting, as needed, item preparation, repack return (if applicable)

 

Maintain status codes throughout the process; monitor process via exception reporting;

 

Coordinate other information through verbal and written communication inter- and intra-departmental, as required;

 

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

 

  1. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

 

  1. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

EDUCATION:

Associate degree preferred

 

EXPERIENCE:

Two or more years Wine and Spirits industry experience preferred, or

Two or more years Logistics/Supply Chain industry experience

Computer proficiency, especially a high level of Excel knowledge and proficiency
