Sr. Product Marketing Manager

The Opportunity:

Marketo is looking for a rock-star Sr. Product Marketing Manager to join our team. You are a critical member of the Marketo team with key responsibilities including the development and execution of the go-to-market strategy for Marketo offerings. You are expected to drive product positioning, sales and marketing enablement, competitive analysis working with the competitive lead, and content development. You possess a record of success in marketing a SaaS solution, and delivering measurable results. You thrive in a team environment and work enthusiastically with colleagues outside the immediate team to achieve company goals. 


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy and plan for Marketo products, including product launches.
  • Develop clear and concise product positioning and messaging for Marketo products
  • Enable sales organization to effectively understand and sell Marketo offerings
  • Create and manage a compelling set of sales tools and collateral
  • Provide deal support to the sales team
  • Work closely with the segment marketing, corporate marketing, sales and demand gen teams to increase market presence and build pipeline and revenue
  • Partner with Product Management to help shape product roadmap and vision
  • Analyze competitive offerings to identify product differentiators as well as potential gaps
  • Identify ideal customers to develop references, case studies, and champions
  • Evangelize the Marketo story by delivering compelling presentations at live and virtual events

Required Skills/Experience:

  • BS/BA and related work experience required, MBA a plus.
  • 5+ years’ experience in product marketing including proven success in driving messaging, positioning and sales enablement.
  • Experience marketing world-class Software-as-a-Service products.
  • Prior experience with marketing to marketers a big plus.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • “High-horsepower” thinker – “High Execution” doer
