Job Description

The Opportunity

Marketo is looking for an exceptional technical instructor who is passionate about delivering high quality training experiences. You will be a part of the Marketo University delivery team, providing public, private, and custom training to help our customers learn and adopt the Marketo product suite. Our staff of technical instructors deliver these offerings weekly either virtually and/or in-person to our customers.  Reporting to the Director of Delivery, as an instructor you will be part of unique team of experts that have a passion for teaching others and take pride in helping others become Marketo proficient.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly public and/or onsite training to Marketo corporate customers
  • Train on the entire suite of Marketo business application tools to diverse audiences, including customers, partners and/or employees
  • Liaison with sales to conduct scoping calls with customers to review customer training requirements and validate course objectives
  • Occasionally collaborate with our curriculum development team as a SME to create/review curriculum development activities
  • Maintain Target Utilization and Target Quality scores from teaching activity
  • Identify new training and services opportunities for upsell
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications, participating in Marketo Community and collaborating with co-workers

 Required Skills / Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience as a technical training instructor, both virtual and in-person
  • Experience with marketing software or relevant SaaS
  • Understanding of marketing & sales processes
  • Understanding of CRM applications such as Salesforce.com and/or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Marketo consulting experience
  • Strong written and verbal communications, executive level presence
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with virtual or over-the-web training environments (i.e. Go-To-Training, Webex, etc…)
  • Flexible hours for virtual training
  • Communication Skills: Instructors need to present to groups of students, speak interpersonally with individuals, report to management and meet with customers. They must be friendly, articulate, and have the ability to time-manage a classroom setting
  • Ability and willingness to travel 25 – 50%
  • MCE Certified a must (either prior or during onboarding)
