Founded in 1965, KanPak(r) LLC began as a family-owned dairy company, based in Arkansas City, KS. From the beginning, KanPak has led the way in the development of aseptic processing and packaging for beverages and desserts. In 1983, KanPak was one of the first companies in North America to qualify, process and aseptically package low acid foods.

KanPak continued to grow and expand, creating some of the most successful new product introductions in the foodservice industry.

In 2011, Golden State Foods became partners in KanPak China, with the combined companies continuing to expand their product offering and bring on new customers in China and throughout Asia. This success culminated in 2013 with Golden State Foods acquiring controlling interest in KanPak LLC, and eventually acquiring the balance of KanPak LLC in 2016 with KanPak LLC becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Golden State Foods.

The newest addition to the KanPak facility line-up is in Penn Yan, NY. Acquired in December of 2014, the plant has liquid aseptic processing as well as yogurt capabilities, and provides a second North American facility to service the North East region.

We are seeking an energetic, skilled Dynamics GP / ERP Specialist based out of our facility in Wichita, Kansas.  

The Dynamics GP/ERP Specialist position applies technology solutions with varying degrees of complexity for all functions. This position will be integral in executing our ERP strategy, and will make key application decisions around the management of the system to include upgrade, administration and ongoing operations in close coordination with all departments. Responsibilities include working collaboratively with other technology leaders to develop the infrastructure architecture for our Microsoft Dynamics GP environment as well as working on the application integration to the next generation business platform for the company.

Primary Objectives:

  • Participate in formulating and administering division’s short and long range goals and objectives for business growth
  • Ensure timely completion of software delivery for the Microsoft Dynamics GP application.
  • Build strong relationships with other department heads as well as technology partners.
  • Collaborate with business partners to fully understand and document business requirements.
  • Maintain a backlog of development initiatives for Microsoft Dynamics GP and collaboratively prioritize with business partners.
  • Develop strong relationships with technology vendors and other partners and manage on an ongoing basis.
  • Exhibit a solid understanding of all operations at the company and the related Microsoft Dynamics GP configuration and operations.
  • Lead technical design and ensure hurdles are resolved to gain the best performance, reusability, governance and maintainability of Microsoft Dynamics GP and related applications.
  • Define and execute the operational processes to effectively manage the production and non-production environment for Microsoft Dynamics GP and integrate with upstream and downstream applications
  • Effectively communicates to different audiences. It is important to be able to communicate ideas clearly and concisely in written documents (graphics or text), and to present these coherently and logically.
  • Provides Technical leadership in system integration and promotes best practices in this area
  • Lead the training of end users on Microsoft Dynamics GP functionality


Skills & Requirements

Employment Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or Accounting
  • 8+ years of professional experience with 5+ years hands on technical experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Accounting principles and common practices
  • Working understanding of Financial Management
  • Experience with software testing methodologies
  • Verbal and written communication skills - able to understand and bridge business requirements between end users and technical resources.
  • Conflict management and problem solving - can build and maintain lasting relationships both within the organization and with external vendors.
  • Analytical and decision-making skills - weigh options, build consensus, make a decision and move forward.
