Job Description

We are currently searching for a talented professional to join our team as a Teacher at the Wetzel Center!

  • The teacher for the Latency unit must be familiar with Elementary and Middle school curriculum, have the ability to teach a second academic subject and be able to implement a wide assortment of learning approaches for our range of trauma-affected youth.
  • An applicant must have effective strategies to set and enforce limits, calm students, and defuse escalation of inappropriate behavior.
Skills & Requirements

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Special Education, Education or related field is required.
  • MA/MS in Special Education is preferred.
  • Valid Massachusetts teaching certificate required.
  • Candidates must have at least two years of teaching experience.
  • Candidates should have experience working with at-risk youth.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
