    • A general understanding of Department of Health (DOH) food safety and perishability standards and the ability to conform to DOH requirements to run an A-level kitchen
    • Understanding of safe restaurant janitorial handling procedures and facilities sanitation
    • Good Kitchen Operations knowledge (flow of goods, cleaning supply usage, equipment usage, time management)
    • Strong communication and listening skills to develop trusting relationships with peers, guests, and suppliers
    • The ability to stay positive and calm under pressure
    • Open availability 

    Ideally, You Have:

    • At least 6 months of comparable receiving experience gained from time on the job in a food service establishment
    • Culinary and/or Beverage Degree/Certification(s)


    Washing Dishes – by hand or using dish machine

    Pot washing – by hand

    Sorting and removing garbage

    Nightly deep cleaning

    Maintaining a clean and orderly work station

    Following all food safety standards vigilantly


    Assist in daily requisition of food and beverage delivery

    Sort and distribute daily food and beverage delivery

    Occasionally assist kitchen team with prep work

    Occasionally make trips to Union Square Green Market to pick up daily produce



    Able to lift 50lbs. and spend most of the day on your feet
    Quick on your feet
    Positive, friendly and professional towards everyone

    Restaurant experience ideal
