Make a meaningful impact as a General Manager at Untitled and Studio Cafe!


Founded by CEO Danny Meyer with the opening of Union Square Cafe in 1985, Union Square Hospitality Group has created some of New York’s most beloved restaurants, cafes, and bars such as Gramercy Tavern, Maialino, The Modern, Marta and Porchlight to name a few!

Collaborating with Executive Chef, lead the entire WhitFood team and manage all facets of the front of the hours and operations of Untitled and Studio Cafe in the WMAA.  The General Manager will build an excellent brand with the best management and staff by constantly improving our food and service. The GM will focus on our partners and guests while providing unparalleled hospitality. This position requires flexibility and a wide range of hospitality, service and business acumen.  The General Manager actively embodies, inspires and teaches skills that will elevate the core values of USHG.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Work with Executive Chef/Director of Operations to establish and achieve clear profitability, performance goals and metrics for Untitled and Studio Cafe
  • Work with the FOH managers to achieve individual performance goals and metrics that grow the business while strengthening the Untitled brand and culture
  • Maintain and grow relationships with all corresponding departments at Untitled and Studio Cafe
  • Continuously recruit strong candidates for all positions and grow Gen Next through empowerment and development
  • Ensure that Untitled and The Studio Cafe continuously delivers uncommon hospitality and excellence to its guests
  • Actively embody, inspire and teach the tenets of Enlightened Hospitality to all

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal/oral/listening)

  • Proficient in restaurant financial knowledge(P&L /Budget/Food & Labor Costs)
  • Proficient in restaurant systems (Micros/OT/Avero)
  • Excellent dining room and facilities operations knowledge
  • Food & Beverage knowledge with a solid understanding of wines of all regions and spirits
  • Understanding of HR Practices/Policies/Procedures
  • 5 years in a leadership position
  • 5+ years experience in fine dining, high volume and sales preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience as a GM
  • 2-3 years experience in a multi-unit property with client/partner relations
  • Experience in all facets of a fine dining restaurant
  • AGM Experience
  • Specific knowledge of Purchasing, Receiving, Maintenance, Inventory, P&L, Cash handling procedures and controls, HR systems and Sales and Marketing
  • Operations experience in Maitre d’ position, Reservationist, Bar Management, Wine Director, Service Director, Special Events, Expeditor, Stewarding and Porter Management
  • 2-3 years of experience in a client/partner environment
