Skillsoft is growing in the North American market and we are searching for a Pricing Analyst. To be successful in this highly visible role you must be a person who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment, provides excellent customer service, enjoys problem solving, is able to think outside the box and be creative and strategic when crafting deals while adhering to the pricing and finance rules and guidelines.
While this position reports to the Pricing Team Manager, you will directly support the Regional and Area Vice Presidents within North America.
The successful candidate will be responsible for 5+ regions spanning across 2 businesses and 8 markets. Candidate will also be responsible for all pricing support, including strategizing with the Customer Sales Directors, provide detailed pricing and discount metrics to the Area and Regional Vice Presidents on a monthly and quarterly basis and proactively review and strategize the upcoming quarters’ key renewal accounts.
Responsible for creating pricing models using the online pricing app while keeping the model in line with the supporting pricing guidelines.
Provides pricing recommendations, analyzes data, and performs all necessary analyses to support recommendations.
Recommends changes to current sales techniques, procedures or promotional efforts based on regional trends.
Responsible for managing the contract request process: reviewing request to ensure it is within finance and pricing guidelines, obtaining approvals, capturing all details to ensure the contract is written accurately and within the finance/revenue guidelines.
Responsible for understanding the process flow and integration of the pricing system (quoting tool), contract system (Apttus), Salesforce and PeopleSoft
Pricing analyst expected to be efficient in Salesforce to assist reps with sales forecasting errors; pricing quote errors and run forecasting reports at the manager level to manage quarterly pipeline.
Pricing analyst is also responsible for regional quarterly metrics.
Pricing analyst is responsible to train reps within their regions to ensure they are competent with the pricing tools and guidelines.
Works on ad hoc and special projects as needed.

2+ years of experience performing pricing & internal customer service related activities.
Direct experience supporting high-level sales and operations executives.
Experience with Saleforce.com preferred

Responsible for understanding all aspects of pricing/contracting activities of the SkillSoft Global Sales Operations Department specifically focused on supporting regions in North America.
Reports directly to Pricing Team Manager and has direct interaction with Sr. Manager Pricing, and SVP of Sales Ops, Customer Sales Directors, sales and executive management.
Education and Certifications:
BS in Business, Finance or Economics.
