Daily Provisions is your neighborhood kitchen where the food and hospitality are good enough visit every day. Operated by Danny Meyer’s USHG, we have a dedicated following of regulars who start their morning with a cappuccino and bacon, egg and cheese, grab a Milanese sandwich for lunch, and end their day with rotisserie chicken and hearty vegetables.

The Dine Away Manager is dedicated to growing Daily Provisions’ Dine Away business: catering, pick-up, delivery, and private events. The Dine-Away Manager supports in developing a strategy, managing relationships, coordinating meals and setting and reaching financial targets for all business outside of the 4-walls of the restaurants. Additionally, they support the administrative needs of the Lead of Dine Away Business. The role encompasses sales, administration, creative development, and strategy. The Dine Away Manager is focused on ensuring that our guests enjoy warm hospitality and spectacular food regardless of where they eat it and building demand for this program.

 

As a Dine-Away Manager, you will be able to:

  • Support Lead on Dine-Away Business Growth (DAB) in all operational aspects of business
  • Monitor and respond to all catering inquiries for all 3 locations (19th Street, WV, UWS)
  • Act as a liaison between inquiring guests and Hospitality Managers at all 3 Daily Provisions
  • Work with Marketing team to ensure all signage, packages, and food descriptions are in-line with brand parameters
  • Coordinate with GMs and Kitchen Managers to ensure menus are up to date, both in-store and on all online channels
  • Support in all off-site events (including pop ups, food festivals, activations)
  • Coordinate with drivers and delivery people in order to ensure best in class, timely catering and delivery service
  • On day-of catering, act as the main point of contact between delivery people and guests, in order to ensure smooth and timely delivery
  • Coordinate with third party catering companies (Moby Dish, Deliv, Caviar), in order to ensure Daily Provisions’ brand is well-represented in corporate catering environments
  • Create and utilize order templates to clearly communicate catering orders across all DPs
  • Create dedicated FOH space for pre-ordered pick up
  • Create and optimize systems for pre-order pick-ups in all DPs
  • Create systems to ensure excellent service & hospitality is provided for all off-premise guests
  • Prepare and send out weekly report of all Dine Away business
  • Coordinate full buy-outs of Daily Provisions
  • Act as project manager on the development of technology applications
  • Create, monitor and utilize systems to create and cultivate catering “regulars” in order to strengthen the Daily Provisions community, outside of the 4-walls

As a Dine-Away Manager, you will have:

  • 5+ years experience in food service
  • Deep experience with delivery, catering and other Dine Away modes
  • Expertise with technology and administrative applications
  • Superior organizational acumen, prioritizing time and tasks with optimum efficiency
  • Ability to identify opportunities throughout the operation, leading with solutions and proposals
  • Full cycle project management: ability to plan, organize, direct and delegate, and follow through, holding team(s) accountable
  • Must have schedule flexibility
  • Ability to work early mornings, and weekends
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
