Primary Function

  • Responsible for automation of key reports whilst building a robust BI solution that would support Content Production and broader organization requirements
  • Automate all forms of reporting from Excel and make them available for use in Power BI and SQL
  • Design, build, test and maintain data analytics solutions, making sure they meet business requirements and user needs.
  • Interact with product management, content production team and technical teams, managing demand and expectations for analytics insights.
  • Translate business requirements into Tech specifications.

 

 


 

 

Responsibilities/Duties

Leadership

  • Lead the projects rather than manage the projects

Building BI Solutions, Automation and Data Visualization.

  • Automate Excel reports using SQL, integration and data warehousing tools.
  • Building ETL pipelines and APIs to connect data from disparate sources
  • Build complex visualizations using tools like Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.

Data Science

  • Build predictive models, production planning, release and development metrics, customer usage analysis,
  • Customer Lifetime Value, Segmentation, etc
  • Ability to develop and analyze on SQL and BI tools

Communication

  • Ability to listen, to be clear and ensure you’re understood.
  • Effectively convey vision, ideas, goals, and issues—as well as produce data driven reports and presentations
  • Contributes to the flow of communication within the team, by actively participating in team meetings

Team and Stakeholders Management

  • Work closely with and build excellent relationships with key stakeholders.

Others

  • Compliance with company policies and procedures
  • May be required to work on once-off projects/initiatives or ongoing project work as required or other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned from time to time

 

Prerequisites

 

Core Skills

Must have

  • 5- 7 years’ experience with BI reporting and data viz solutions (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Skilled at SQL writing, modelling and querying relational databases.
  • Experience in Microsoft DAX will be appreciated.
  • Experience in building substantial ETL pipelines, working with APIs and data
  • warehouses.
  • Intermediate experience of building models with R or python.
  • Proven experience mining, integrating and extracting insights from large and disperse datasets and translating them into clear and precise business conclusions and recommendations.
  • Investigative mind-set
  • Comfortable communicating data to large matrix organizations
  • Enjoy solving complex technical problems
  • Be eager to develop new skills and expertise
  • Be proactive, positive and professional

Core Skills

Nice to have

  • Excellent communication (excellent written and verbal skills), influencing and presentation skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness

 

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is essential
  • MBA or Masters would be an advantage.
  • Power BI certification would be an advantage
