Founded by CEO Danny Meyer with the opening of Union Square Cafe in 1985, Union Square Hospitality Group has created some of New York’s most beloved restaurants, cafes, and bars such as Gramercy Tavern, Maialino, The Modern, Marta and Porchlight to name a few!


Union Square Events (USE) is the catering and venue hospitality business from Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG). Based in Manhattan's Hudson Yards, USE creates experiences to savor that are rooted in USHG's 30-year heritage of culinary excellence and Enlightened Hospitality. An integral member of the USE Leadership, this position must lead, inspire and embody our Family Values and our philosophy of Enlightened Hospitality in all interactions with our people, guests, vendors and the community.  He/she will direct all facets of new business development, including catering and events, business and industry, and venue hospitality, working strategically to gain new business opportunities and to strengthen existing relationships.

Key Responsibilities (More details here)

  • Oversee Day to Day Operations
  • Culture and Learning:  Develop and maintain ongoing standardization of training programs for all team members to ensure awareness of expectations for cultural development, sales targets, entrepreneurial drive and creative thinking to leave our guests raving after each event
  • Accounting, Finance & Profitability: Full P&L responsibility
  • Communication and Operations:  Foster positive interdepartmental communication in order to increase efficiency, productivity, and profitability
  • Ensure rigorous knowledge of and adherence to all applicable laws, policies and procedures

  • 15+ years of work experience across diverse marketing and creative functions. B2C experience a must
  • Experience managing a budget, and working across channels to set and report on KPIs
  • Ability to impact the short-term while simultaneously developing long-term vision and goals
  • Ability to embody, teach, and inspire our Family Values
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Masters degree
  • 15+ years of leadership experience with at least 7 years in management positions
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating and communicating across all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated experience creating and executing breakthrough ideas
  • English fluency and Spanish preferred
