Job Description
 

The USHG PR & Marketing team is seeking a Public Relations Intern  to join us for a part-time internship during the Spring of 2020.

 

Fantastic opportunity with a leading New York City-based restaurant group. Intern will gain firsthand experience in PR & Communications as pertains to representing and promoting a highly regarded portfolio of restaurants. Excellent exposure for a candidate with a proven interest in the food and restaurant industry and future career ambitions in PR, Communications, Media, or Marketing. The PR intern will work closely with the Director of Communications and Communications Manager with projects including (but not limited to): media monitoring and tracking, media list management, pitch writing, media relations, photo shoot and special event staffing, as well as opportunities to work on larger brand projects.

 

The weekly schedule will range from 16-18 hours per week.  

The PR intern must be eligible to receive academic credit for this unpaid internship.

 

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, English, Food Studies or related field and can accept academic credit
  • Superior and professional verbal & written communications skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment
  • Multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability of taking initiative & following through on assignments with minimal supervision
  • Interest and knowledge of food and restaurant industry preferred
