Role and Position Description
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Corporate Real Estate and Workplace Manager to manage the firm's multi-state operations.
The Corporate Real Estate & Workplace Manager leads Degenkolb's corporate real estate and workplace function by managing office projects, workplace standards, facilities coordination, and portfolio reporting. Working closely with the COO and CFO, the role translates executive strategy into successful execution across the firm's office portfolio. This hybrid position can be based in one of our West Coast offices: Los Angeles, Oakland, Orange, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, or Seattle.
This is not a traditional facilities management role nor simply a project management position. It is a function-owner role. The successful candidate will independently manage projects, anticipate organizational needs, develop recommendations for leadership, establish repeatable standards, and require minimal day-to-day direction.
Ideal Candidate: You'll thrive in this role if you -
- Are independent and self-directed, with good judgment to anticipate needs and propose solutions.
- Are highly organized and detail-oriented, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Are a skilled coordinator who builds consensus across diverse groups—architects, contractors, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Are process-oriented and enjoy establishing systems and standards that improve efficiency.
- Are analytical and comfortable with financial data, budgets, and project reporting.
- Are collaborative and relationship-focused, building strong partnerships across vendors and leadership.
- Balance strategic real estate planning with operational execution and attention to detail.
- Are committed to creating quality workplace environments that support culture and talent retention.
