Regional Safety Manager Philadelphia Area & Surrounding Suburbs Apply View All Jobs Share This Job Job Description Be a champion of the IMC Safety Culture by providing project teams, subcontracting partners, and clients with expert level support and resources. Develop professional safety relationships internally/externally and participate in industry peer meetings and/or professional organizations. Under the direction of the Corporate Health and Safety Director, focus on the continuous development of IMC Personnel and the Health & Safety Department through frequent coaching and periodic training. Complete weekly safety inspections and monthly safety audits for each project within the assigned region. Complete and document daily safety observations during each site visit; regularly audit project safety observations to promote quality and closure. Assist with and support the development and coordination of project-specific safety programs. Attend Pre-Construction Meetings, prioritizing high-risk trades and activity, and effectively communicate IMC standards and safe work practices to reduce operational risk. Periodically attend pre-shift huddles and establish a regular presence for field meetings/huddles, to include Foreman Meetings, Safety Stand-Downs, and Toolbox Talks. Lead accident, incident and near miss investigations; partner with subcontracting partners to develop and implement corrective actions and complete detailed incident reports. Partner with Risk Management to collect and report relevant information for worker compensation claims on CCIP projects within the assigned region. Conduct, and/or participate in, Post-Incident Reviews for catastrophic incidents, severe injuries and high potential events. Professionally participate in OSHA (and other governing agencies) inspections/investigations; professionally represent IMC and champion IMC’s OSHA Inspection Procedures. Regularly report observed trends, challenges, and barriers to the Corporate Health & Safety Director. Assist the Corporate Health & Safety Director with the planning of, and implementation of, Health and Safety initiatives and events. Skills & Requirements Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health related field; and 5+ year’s job experience in construction industry. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite OSHA Construction 30-Hour Training Preferred OSHA 500/510 trainer certification Excellent communication, planning, organization, problem-solving and analytical skills An ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization Self-motivated/ capable of working independently without direct supervision.
