Job Description

  • Shadow IMC Project Managers and Superintendents to learn the flow and sequence of Project Management on a construction project. 

  • Attend and participate in jobsite Client and Subcontractor coordination meetings. 

  • Assist project team with the development, tracking, and closure of field quality control issues. 

  • Assist with the expediting of timely material deliveries to jobsites by working closely with the Subcontractors. 

  • Assist with short-range scheduling by confirming manpower, material deliveries, or supplier availability for a job site. 

  • Assist the team with tracking of field work orders, changes, change order requests, and any incident that may be considered a cost event. 

  • Prepare, expedite, and monitor logs for tracking shop drawings, submittals, requests for information, change orders, material delivery logs and other as determined necessary for a successful project. 

  • Assist with proactively obtaining punch list and follow-up on completion of work. 

  • Participate in meetings and gain exposure to post-bid, buyout, prequalification’s and CCIP requirements, coordination, subcontractor, staff, and scheduling. 

  • Shadow the team Safety Associate to assist with monthly site safety reviews of current project safety conditions and OSHA guidelines.  

  • Will have the ability to learn all aspects of the construction phase while having unlimited access to Project Managers, MEP Project Managers, Superintendents, Schedulers, Safety Associates, and the Vice President of Production.  

  • Will gain exposure to IMC’S innovative technology solutions such as AR/VR, Drones, and Assemble. 

  • Will be exposed to software applications such as Procore, P6, SmartSheet, Sage300, and more. 

  • Will have 24-7 access to IMC’s online Learning and Development Platform to strengthen skills in a variety of subjects.

Skills & Requirements

  • Current student at college or university enrolled in construction related program i.e. construction management, engineering, architectural.  

  • Must have good interpersonal skills, strong desire to learn, ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing, and proficient with computer applications.
