Job Description Job Developer is responsible for determining eligibility of clients, evaluating job readiness, counseling clients regarding careers and job search, developing jobs with employers, referring clients to jobs, placing the clients, following up on placements and retention, and assisting clients in overall career and job seeking issues.

 

  • Provides intake, counseling, evaluation, referral, and job search assistance to clients.
  • Prepares all documentation required by the program including intake forms, client work plans, case notes, etc.
  • Coordinates with case managers.
  • Maintains records as required and prepares narrative and statistical reports.
  • Conducts individual and group training sessions in career and job seeking related skills.
Skills & Requirements

Job Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in career counseling or other relevant experience.
  • Good writing and oral skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the labor market, careers, and job searching techniques.
  • Personal vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance required.
  • Flexibility in work hours, may have to work evenings.

The base pay for this position ranges from $38,500 to $49,900 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience.  Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
