Job Description

Manager of Employment Services provides supervisory and administrative support to the Job Developers, Quality Assurance Specialist and Client Manager Assistant. Ensure effective and accurate communications with personnel from the Commonwealth Workforce Development System (CWDS). Ensures that proper labor relations and conditions of employment are maintained. Adhere to all JEVS Human Services Policy and Procedures and any applicable Federal, State, and Local Rules and Regulations.

  • Responsibilities
  •      Supervise Job Developers, Quality Assurance Specialist, and Client Manager Assistant.
  •      Monitor and coordinate new Job Developers, Quality Assurance Specialist, and Client Manager Assistant orientation and training.
  •      Monitor and coordinate Job Developers to provide employment services and coaching to job seekers.
  •      Monitor and coordinate Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure quality and compliance.
  •      Monitor and coordinate Client Manager Assistant to ensure the smooth flow of clients through the program coordinating office function regarding             clients’ eligibility enrollment, and schedule.
  •      Analyzes and assesses program utilization, employee feedback, competitiveness, and workforce productivity to ensure that a cost-effective mix.
  •      Plan and adjust staff assignments according to shifts in labor market conditions and implementation of new programs.
  •      Oversees the recruitment and employment procedures.
  •      Represents program on agency-wide job development task force.
  •      Act as liaison and develop relationship with hiring organizations.
  •      Other related duties as assigned.

 

Skills & Requirements
  • Required Education and Experience
  • ·         Master’s Degree in education or human services related field and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.
  • ·         Knowledge of employment issues and local labor market.
  • ·         Excellent skills in areas of career counseling and job search techniques.
  • ·         Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • ·         Must be detail oriented.
  • ·         Strong organizational, Time Management and Follow-Through skills. 
  • ·         Proficient in MS Office applications (especially MS Word and Excel).
  • ·         Willingness to learn JEVS specific database.
  • ·         Adhere to JEVS Human Services Code of Conduct.
  • ·         Knowledge of Ukrainian, Spanish, Haitian Creole and /or Russian is preferred.

The base pay for this position ranges from $51,000 to $62,000 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience.  Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
