Currently we have an exciting opportunity within the Suburban Station CareerLink as a Workforce Advisor.  This is your opportunity to help provide no-cost services that help individuals successfully enter or re-enter the local workforce.  As the Workforce Advisor you will assist participants in becoming job ready through the amelioration of personal challenges, including needed supportive services such as childcare, transportation, work clothing and counseling.  Additionally you will assist customers with accessing resources in the community that will meet their needs.

This role is on-site in our Center City Philadelphia office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network and establish working relationships with appropriate personnel at the County Assistance Offices, Community Agencies, Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Organizations and other agencies as needed.
  • Provide case management to assigned caseload; complete case notes and follow up services regarding employment, retention and termination; recommend, promote and schedule Center services for customers
  • Work with the Integrated Job Development Team and its job developers to transition customers to appropriate employment 
  • Provide advice to customers on job finding and skill development to assist customer with becoming more competitive in the job market

  • Bachelor’s degree with employment services experience preferred
  • Appropriate experience or special training may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.

The base pay for this position ranges from $39,000 to $42,666 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience.  Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
