Under the general supervision of the Director of EduConnect, the instructor will design and instruct the didactic and clinical components of a state approved phlebotomy training curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Teach phlebotomy and clinical medical assistant classes using established accredited curricula.
- Provide hands-on phlebotomy and clinical medical assistant skills training.
- Provide motivational coaching, accountability, professionalism coaching, and general support to all students.
- Prepare students to take the National Healthcare Association (NHA) exam; support those who fail to retest successfully.
- Prepare students for a successful career in the phlebotomy and/or clinical medical assistant fields.
- Maintain student attendance and grades; communicate student performance needs to the Success Coach.
- Assist with changes to curricula and lesson plans to incorporate approved/relevant online and digital content, new textbooks, new testing software, new instructor resources, and new equipment.
Required Education and Experience
· Industry-recognized certification in clinical medical assisting or phlebotomy
· 2 years of experience as an instructor in an educational, human service, or other equivalent training preferred
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
· Proficient in MS Office applications, Zoom, and other learning platforms
· Willing to work flexible, hybrid schedule
· Familiarity with NHA preferred
· Adhere to JEVS Code of Conduct
This position is Monday-Friday.
17.5-20 hours depending on course.
The base pay for this position is $30/hour. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
