JEVS Human Services has an exciting opportunity as a community-based Community Support Worker. 

The Independence Network empowers young adults with disabilities in a supportive community so they can live independent lives. Each member works with staff to set goals and identify interests and needs. Supports are tailored and delivered to help people pursue their goals.

This opportunity is community based and can be located in Camden, Burlington, and/or Gloucester counties, based on your availability.  
 
In this role, you will work to provide extra support and help to the members of the Independence Network community.  

Job Overview:
 
  • Develop a rapport with assigned individuals and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship
  • Contribute to plans that support individuals to pursue their goals and dreams
  • Teach independent living skills and develop strategies the individual can rely on to continue to grow in their independence
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to support social skills
  • Coach individual(s) to establish volunteer opportunities or paid employment
  • Assist individuals to engage in community activities that match their interests

Skills & Requirements
  • Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Some college coursework preferred 
 
Schedule:
 
This position is 20 hours/week.

The base pay for this position is $17.00 per hour.  Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
