Job Description

Currently we have an exciting opportunity with our Work Ready program as a Staff Development Instructor.

The Professional Development Instructor will lead and enhance onboarding and professional development programs, ensuring a seamless experience for new hires and supporting continuous employee growth. This role is responsible for integrating new team members smoothly into the company and delivering high-quality training aligned with organizational goals. The instructor will collaborate closely with leadership, hiring managers, and departments to create effective learning experiences that drive professional development and contribute to overall success. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the onboarding program to ensure a positive and efficient transition for new hires. 
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of professional development programs that use flexible facilitation methods and human centered design to support organizational goals and meet the learning needs of staff. 
  • Maintain accurate records of training participation, onboarding activities, and professional development outcomes
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to create personalized onboarding plans that align with the specific needs of new employees
  • Facilitate interactive workshops and training sessions, both in-person and virtually, using a variety of instructional techniques to enhance learning and engagement
  • Prepare reports and provide insights on the effectiveness of training programs and onboarding processes to leadership. 
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and tailor programs to address specific skills and competencies 
  • Assist with the design and creation of engaging training materials, including presentations, manuals, e-learning modules, and other resources.

Skills & Requirements

Skills & Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree preferred or bachelor’s degree in education, organizational development, or related field. 
  • 3-5 years experience working with individuals related to personal and professional goals setting and counseling 
  • Familiarity with educational counseling and local education practices 
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn about competency -based and project-based education, certification courses and requirements for credentialing purposes. 
  • Flexible workweek hours required; some early evening and weekend work required
  •  Ability to attend in-person classes, coaching sessions, events several times per week, as needed.

The base pay for this position ranges from $23.08 to $27.48 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience.  Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
