TCY Montco has an exciting opportunity as a Diversion and Reentry Instructor.
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain a working knowledge of SAS/Montco/Philly/ TCY policy and procedures.
- Facilitate monthly SAS VIP workshops in Philly and Montco.
- Teach job readiness, administer assessments TCY Philly/Montco
- Effectively communicate with other JEVS Human Services staff, exhibiting teamwork, and collaboration.
- Participate in program meetings, supervisory meetings, unit meetings and division meetings on an ongoing basis

Program Specific:
- Structure and Facilitate SAS Philly/Montco VIP monthly VIP workshops
- Provide Soft Skills and Job readiness instruction to TCY Philly/Montco clients (including clients with Limited English Proficiency and/or whose primary language is not English) of an VIP program.
- Through the utilization of the JEVS 21st Century Skills Soft Skills curriculum design, deliver and manage interactive experiential learning activities in a classroom environment.
- Utilize knowledge of group dynamics and facilitation techniques including ice breakers, individual exercises, and break-out designs
- Ensure résumés and applications are completed timely and accurately.
- Promote clients’ active participation in all classroom activities; provide client reward and recognition.
- Document all contacts with clients and maintain accurate and timely records of attendance and other pertinent program data. Input data into JEVS ECM database
- Meet regularly with the team (including collaborative partners, research organization, probation and parole officers) to plan activities, discuss client progress, and evaluate program intervention at key intervals.
- Other related duties as assigned
Skills & Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in adult education or related field
- 2 years of experience as an instructor in an educational, human service, or other equivalent training
The base pay for this position ranges from $40,000 to $56,000 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
