Job Description Nammo Defense Systems, Inc., a defense contractor, is the primary USA operation of the Nammo Group (Nammo AS). Nammo Defense Systems Inc. (NDS) develops, manufactures, and supports Shoulder Launched Munitions (SLMs), energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aerospace structures.

JOB OVERVIEW:
Design, develop, implement, and maintain digital manufacturing solutions that improve operational efficiency, automate business processes, enhance data accessibility, and support data-driven decision-making across manufacturing operations. This role serves as a technical resource for manufacturing software applications, data collection systems, reporting platforms, workflow automation, and engineering documentation processes.
The position supports the full lifecycle of digital manufacturing solutions, from identifying operational needs and developing technical solutions through implementation, documentation, user support, continuous improvement, and ongoing system maintenance. The role works cross-functionally, including with Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and IT to ensure solutions are reliable, standardized, properly documented, compliant with established quality processes, and continuously improved based on operational needs and user feedback.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, develop, and maintain Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications using Ignition SCADA.
• Develop Python and SQL solutions to collect, process, and store manufacturing and operational data.
• Build scalable data collection systems that improve shop floor efficiency, streamline operational processes, and reduce manual data entry.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain SCADA applications, database connections, and system performance.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide real-time and historical operational insights.
• Create automated reporting solutions that support production, quality, engineering, and management decision-making.
• Maintain data models, queries, gateways, and connections to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Develop and maintain Microsoft Power Apps solutions to streamline engineering and manufacturing workflows.
• Create automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to eliminate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Support users by troubleshooting, enhancing, and maintaining low-code applications and automation solutions.
• Identify opportunities to digitize and standardize business processes across departments.
• Create, revise, and maintain technical documentation required to support SCADA applications, data collection systems, associated workflows, and ongoing system operation and maintenance.
• Develop supporting documentation for newly implemented or modified digital manufacturing solutions to ensure systems and processes are appropriately documented throughout their lifecycle.
• Support documentation change processes by ensuring documentation complies with company standards and revision control requirements.
• Train end users on newly developed systems and provide ongoing technical support.
• Partner cross-functionally, including with Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and IT teams to identify opportunities for automation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines.
