Compensation: $27+ per hour DOE
Location: Tualatin, OR (ON-SITE ONLY)
Position Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for appropriately applying check deposits to customers and jobs. Understanding construction billing with proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, and working with other team members on reconciling payments and solving billing issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily Deposits - apply payments to appropriate jobs in Accounting System
- Constant internal communication with team members and other members of the organization
- Invoice creation based on unitary billing
- Compile invoices onto contractors' monthly pay applications and other special invoice forms
- Engage in heavy email communication with contractors
- Assist in the collection process for outstanding invoices
- Complete special projects and reports as needed
- Meet month-end processing requirements
- Address questions and complaints from customers
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related role required
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, VISTA, etc.)
- Strong understand of accounting principles and practices
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Intermediate Excel Skills) and computer skills
- Intermediate Excel proficiency level
- Must be dependable, organized, and detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Capability to build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of people
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer
- Requires sitting, keyboard typing and 10-key, use of telephone and computer monitor, walking, filing, and stairs
- Occasionally lift and carry files or documents weighing up to 10 pounds
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Standard office environment with minimal noise
