LCG is seeking a UI/UX Designer Developer, Senior to support our NIH client in designing intuitive, user-centered digital experiences for AI-powered applications. This role combines modern UI/UX design and front-end development with emerging Generative AI technologies, including Azure OpenAI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and intelligent automation tools.
This role will support an NIH client focused on building AI-driven applications that enhance internal business processes and improve user engagement. The developer will design and implement user interfaces for AI applications such as chatbots, knowledge retrieval tools, and workflow automation platforms, ensuring a seamless and efficient user experience.
The successful candidate will collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces. The role involves building modern front-end applications using React (or similar frameworks), designing user journeys, and integrating AI-powered backend services into responsive UI experiences.

UI/UX Design and User Experience

Translate complex AI functionality (LLMs, chatbots, automation tools) into simple, accessible user experiences

Develop responsive, modern web applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
AI-Driven Application Integration

Integrate LLM-based features (e.g., conversational interfaces, summarization tools, search experiences) into front-end applications
Collaboration and Agile Development

Work closely with product owners, developers, AI engineers, and stakeholders to deliver user-focused solutions
Testing, Documentation, and Training
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in related fields (Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, Information Technology, Data Science, or similar)

Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and user interface designs using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch

Compensation and Benefits
The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $140,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and experience.
