Job Description

We are looking for a Maintenance Inspector to join our team. As the Maintenance Inspector you will be asked to inspect, monitor, and assess the condition of mechanical equipment and plant infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. The Maintenance Inspector identifies defects, coordinates corrective actions, and supports preventive and predictive maintenance activities.

About the Role 

Responsibilities:

    • Inspect cement plant equipment such as:
      • Crushers and feeders
      • Conveyors and belt systems
      • Raw mills and cement mills
      • Kilns, coolers, and rotary equipment
      • Fans, blowers, pumps, and compressors
      • Gearboxes, bearings, couplings, and drives
      • Bucket elevators and material-handling equipment
    • Conduct routine inspections and identify abnormal conditions, wear, cracks, leaks, vibration, overheating, corrosion, and other defects.
    • Monitor equipment condition and recommend corrective maintenance.
    • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of mechanical components.
    • Check alignment, lubrication, bearings, seals, belts, chains, and rotating equipment.
    • Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
    • Prepare inspection reports, defect reports, and maintenance recommendations.
    • Follow up on identified defects until corrective action is completed.
    • Work with maintenance engineers, technicians, and operations personnel to resolve equipment problems.
    • Ensure maintenance activities comply with plant safety procedures and applicable standards.
    • Participate in shutdown/turnaround inspections and major maintenance projects.
    • Maintain inspection records and equipment history in CMMS or maintenance-management systems.
    • Support root-cause analysis of recurring equipment failures.
    • Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions in inspection areas.

About You

We Require:

    • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, or a related field.
    • Experience in cement plants, heavy industry, mining, steel, power plants, or similar process industries is preferred.
    • Knowledge of mechanical equipment and industrial maintenance practices.
    • Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
    • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
    • Familiarity with vibration monitoring, alignment, lubrication, and basic NDT methods is advantageous.
    • Good reporting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong understanding of industrial safety procedures
