• Must be Licensed as an LVT in the state of North Carolina
• Full-Time, In-Person Position
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and over 50 lbs with assistance
• Frequent standing, bending, crouching, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching
• Ability to work effectively in environments with noise, animal odors, and other sensory stimuli
• Ability to meet any position-specific screening requirements, such as a clinical acumen assessment
• Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire
• Work closely with Critical Care doctors to care for both transferring and hospitalized patients
• Utilize full technician skills, including but not limited to anesthesia monitoring, multi-lumen catheter placement, preparing and coordinating time of Critical Care procedures with DVM, ensuring all diagnostic testing is prepared and invoiced appropriately
• Monitor critically ill patients for changes in condition and report findings to the Veterinarian
• Ensure charges are entered under correct DVM/Department, patient treatment sheets are updated and correct, create estimates/documents per DVM orders and communicate with clients; collecting additional payments as needed
• Ensure that ventilator and other Critical Care-related supplies are stocked and properly maintained
• Ensure a clean environment in Critical Care and other treatment areas
