• Must be Licensed as an LVT in the state of North Carolina
• Full-Time, In-Person Position
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and over 50 lbs with assistance
• Frequent standing, bending, crouching, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching
• Ability to work effectively in environments with noise, animal odors, and other sensory stimuli
• Ability to meet any position-specific screening requirements, such as a clinical acumen assessment
• Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire
• Work closely with Emergency Veterinarians to care for both incoming emergency patients and hospitalized patients
• Triage appropriately and respond urgently when critical
• Utilize full technician skills, including but not limited to anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, diagnostic testing, invoicing, and EMR data entry
• Monitor critically ill patients for changes in condition and report findings to veterinarians
• Ensure a clean environment in Emergency and other treatment areas
• Provide direct nursing care to ICU patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing medical treatments as prescribed
• Assist veterinarians or emergency technicians in emergency procedures and advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques when needed
• Perform routine patient assessments, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate monitoring
• Monitor critically ill patients for changes in condition and report findings to Veterinarians
• Work collaboratively with veterinary staff to develop and implement care plans for hospitalized patients
• Ensure a clean environment in ICU and other treatment areas
