About the Role
The Hospital Logistics Expert works with the Hospital Director and Care Navigation Team to improve efficiency and quality of care by ensuring the patient journey is as efficient and transparent to all throughout the care of the patient.

Responsibilities Key to Your Success
• Primarily focused on drop-off and hospitalized patients, this role is responsible for tracking patient progress throughout the day and ensuring that all parties – care navigator, client, primary care veterinarian, and full Arista team are kept informed
• Build strong relationships with the Arista specialty & emergency teams
• Facilitate hospital teams’ ability to work as efficiently as possible with minimal interruption by managing the flow of basic communication, including updates and information flow
• Serve as primary contact point for care navigator during the day; serve as triage technician for new and existing clients as needed by Care Navigator
• Help develop and improve the electronic tools needed to streamline and create more efficiencies in the provision of advanced care
• General hospital management duties as required, such as managing phone calls, facilitating drop-off/pick-up preparation, and individual service support
• Demonstrate and uphold Arista's Core Values and Hospital Mission
• Demonstrate professionalism and compassion toward patients, clients, and colleagues, especially during stressful situations
• Maintain confidentiality of patients, clients, colleagues, and business information
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, local, professional licensure, safety, controlled substance, and hospital policy and requirements
• Safely and compassionately restrain animals
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications & Skills
• 5+ years of experience working in healthcare - veterinary technician, nurse, or relevant clinical experience
• Strong understanding and experience in veterinary medicine, specialty services, and emergency care preferred
• Extremely organized and able to easily multitask and prioritize for an efficient working style
• Must be comfortable with medical terminology and have high proficiency with Electronic Medical Record/PIMS systems to track patient treatments and case flow
• Clear and friendly verbal and written communication skills (in-person, telephone, texting, etc)
• Ability to work independently while staying connected to a team
• Commitment to exceptional customer service, high-quality care, and overall excellence

• Full-Time, In-Person Position
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and over 50 lbs with assistance
• Stamina for frequent standing, bending, crouching, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching
• Ability to work effectively in environments with noise, animal odors, and other sensory stimuli
• Ability to meet any position-specific screening requirements, such as a clinical acumen assessment
• Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire
