Job Description

 

This full-time position primarily works weekdays between 8a and 5p, and is on a rotation for periodic evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

As an Physical Therapist at On With Life, you can be a part of something greater. The rehabilitation process is a 24/7 job for each person served, and our Physical Therapists are an integral part of our transdisciplinary team of experts helping individuals along their journey.

There is great joy in watching someone do something for the first time after their injury. You’ll have the opportunity to watch people take their first steps, say their first words, or even enjoy their first snack or favorite meal. You can be a large part of the journey that each person served takes, making memories with them along the way. We are a not-for-profit organization founded by survivors and their families, and each person served is a new member of that family. What do Physical Therapists do at On With Life?
In partnership with other members of the transdisciplinary rehabilitation team, the Physical Therapist provides advanced professional services for persons with brain injury or other neurological conditions, including assessment and intervention to address functional challenges in:

  • balance, gait, and mobility
  • hyper/hypotonicity
  • motor control and movement

An excellent candidate for this Physical Therapist position meets the following criteria:

Qualified applicants must have:

  • Two-to-three years of clinical experience in rehabilitation of persons with brain injury or other neurological disorders
  • An Iowa Physical Therapy license
  • Ability to maintain CPR certification (if you do not have this already, we will pay for it)
