Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Line Cook position is responsible for executing cooking and cleaning tasks under direct supervision of the Director of Culinary Nutrition and Associate Culinary Director.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED, TO THE BELOW:

  • Execute daily food prep as directed by the chefs to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Set up and break down of kitchen stations according to the menu set by the Chefs.
  • Upkeep and cleaning of storage areas, including but not limited to: fridges, freezers, and pantry.
  • Upkeep and cleaning of dining areas, including but not limited to: buffet bar, cereal & yogurt station, coffee station, player lounge, and guest waiting room.
  • Receive orders and correctly fill out applicable logs as directed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills. 
  • 3 years of food industry experience, with demonstrated enthusiasm for the culinary arts.
  • Current ServSafe Food Handler Permit.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work Environment: This position requires that work be performed from the 76ers’ facility in Camden, NJ, and the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, PA. This position requires working a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed based on the Basketball Operations schedule.
  • Physical Requirements: The position requires the ability to frequently lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds; standing and/or walking for prolonged periods during scheduled shifts, up to 8 hours.

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $18/hour and $22/hour.  This position will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

This position will be an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
