Objective: The Beverage Manager is responsible for functional leadership of the assigned restaurants beverage program while ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction through leading and managing daily restaurant operations. The Beverage Manager retains full accountability for beverage program performance against targets. The Beverage Manager ensures continuous improvement in guest satisfaction, employee engagement and restaurant financial performance.

 

Responsibilities:
Leadership Effectiveness
  • Provides functional operational leadership, including all restaurant level beverage program planning and execution, for assigned restaurant. Maintains a positive presence throughout the restaurant, including serving as a positive ambassador and role model of the Amada vision and standards. Facilitates a culture of commitment to Amada vision of Latin-inspired hospitality. Accepts full accountability for beverage-related performance.
  • Builds a winning team of beverage and service professionals; recruits, selects, trains, assigns, schedules, coaches, and counsels restaurant employees to ensure the highest level of operational performance. Communicates job expectations and manages employee performance. Supports the continuous growth and development of all employees.
  • Ensures a superior hospitality and beverage experience for all restaurant guests. Consistently identifies, implements and reinforces operational standards, procedures and systems.
Business Effectiveness
  • Understands and ensures beverage program performance against company operating standards and metrics, including guest satisfaction, employee engagement, net revenue, cost control & and health, safety & sanitation standards.
  • Maintains a superior understanding of beverage standards and trends; guides and implements beverage program offerings, while constantly exploring the latest trends and opportunities for program growth and evolution.
  • Ensures the continuous maintenance and performance of the restaurants beverage related facilities and equipment. Monitors and ensures that all beverage preparation areas, equipment and materials are kept in good working order. Guides beverage employees in maintaining the highest standards of public health, sanitation and safety.
  • Trains, guides and supports all service team members in the responsible service of alcoholic beverages, ensuring above and beyond compliance standards for guest and employee health and safety. Establishes and implements procedures to provide proper control of all beverage-related products.
  • Understands market conditions and establishes sales and marketing tactics to achieve net beverage revenue targets. Continuously explores and implements revenue and profitability improvement solutions to improve operational performance.
  • Manages the restaurants beverage inventory and financial control procedures. Consistently monitors and controls company assets, including all beverage, FFE and cash. Ensures the adequate security of all company human and financial capital and assets.
  • Effectively resolves operational challenges and issues, with a keen eye on delivering the highest level of guest satisfaction and Latin-inspired hospitality.

  • Performs related duties as required.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-years operations management experience, preferably in a high volume, upscale restaurant, hotel or resort environment.
  • Superior leadership, management and analytical skills with a proven ability to deliver exceptional operational performance.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality management, business or related field Highly Preferred.

 

Training:
Our managers complete a 6-week training program. You will participate in a hands-on rotational training program, giving you experience working with our first-class culinary and service professionals. The training is intense, and the education is invaluable!
