Position Title: Cannabis Dry Cure Technician | Reports to: Dry Cure Manager | Location: Homestead, FL  

 

Job Summary: 
The Cannabis Dry Cure Technician carefully oversees the post-harvest drying and curing process of cannabis plants. This role requires close attention to detail to maintain product quality, monitor environmental conditions, and ensure compliance with all state regulations and company procedures.

This role is well suited for individuals who enjoy tedious hands-on work, have strong attention to detail, and are genuinely interested in the cannabis production industry. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Monitor temperature and humidity levels in drying and curing rooms.  

  • Monitor temperature and humidity levels in the flower as needed.  

  • Inspect cannabis daily for possible mold, mildew, pests, or quality issues.  

  • Weigh, package, label, and prepare finished products for storage or transfer between different departments.  

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and production activities.  

  • Follow all sanitation, safety, and state cannabis compliance regulations.  

  • Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, and equipment.  

  • Assist with inventory counts and quality control inspections.  

  • Work with cultivation and processing teams to meet production schedules.  

  • Hang, rack, and organize harvested cannabis plants for drying.  

  • Gently handle cannabis flower when working with it. 

  • Dry trim flower as needed. 

  • Other duties as assigned by management.  

 

Qualifications 

  • Previous experience in cannabis cultivation, harvesting, trimming, or post-harvest processing preferred. 

  • Ability to stand for extended periods; perform repetitive hand movements and "smell tests". 

  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, standing, sitting and meeting physical requirements of the job. 

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and communication skills. 

  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) closely. 

  • Understanding of drying and curing best practices or willingness to learn. 

  • Experience with inventory tracking systems.  

  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills.  

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.  

 

Work Environment 

  • Indoor cultivation or processing facility. 

  • Involves exposure to strong cannabis odors and plant materials that may trigger allergies etc. 

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) required at all times of working in production areas and while handling plant materials.
