Job Title: HR Admin Assistant | Reports to: HR Director | Location: Homestead, FL 33030 | Employment Type: Full-time/On-site 

 

Job Overview:  

An HR Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources department. This role helps ensure HR processes run smoothly by assisting with recruitment, employee records, onboarding, benefits administration, and day-to-day office support while maintaining confidentiality.  

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Assist managers with submitting employee-related forms, documentation, and HR requests. 

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.  

  • Assist employees with HRIS account access, including password resets and basic system support. 

  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.  

  • Ensure required new-hire documentation is completed and properly maintained. 

  • Host new hire onboardings and orientations as needed.  

  • Assign uniforms and badges for new and existing employees.  

  • Support in maintaining the performance review process in partnership with HR leadership.  

  • Communicate performance review timelines, expectations, and deadlines to managers and employees. 

  • Monitor completion rates and follow up with managers and employees regarding outstanding reviews, trainings or other time sensitive projects.   

  • Serve as a point of contact for routine employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and company programs. 

  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. 

  • Track employee participation and completion of required training programs. 

  • Assist with communicating training requirements, schedules, and deadlines to employees and managers. 

  • Assist with planning and coordinating company events and employee activities.  

  • Facilitate in escalating or de-escalating employee related matters. 

  • Create reports as needed.  

  • Support in the payroll process.  

  • Ensure forms in the HRIS are up to date.  

  • Other duties as assigned.  

 

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.  

  • Associates degree or certificate in HR preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.  

  • One year or more experience in HR or similar role.  

  • Experience working with HRIS or other HR-related software preferred.  

  • Must be available to work on-site.  

  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.  

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 

  • Ability and willingness to learn new HR systems, processes, and procedures. 

 

Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour. The Flowery offers benefits, paid time off accruals and paid holidays to all full-time employees.
