JOB SUMMARY 

CityVet seeks a proactive, organized, relationship-driven Manager of Business Development Integration to oversee project coordination with owner veterinarians. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, this role emphasizes collaboration and communication with local owners and CityVet leads in design, construction, real estate, marketing, IT, and field operations. Key responsibilities include managing the owner and CityVet team alignment of construction updates, floor plan designs, equipment selection, and budget tracking to ensure smooth hospital openings. 

In this role, the Manager of Business Development Integration will apply advanced skills to understand CityVet’s business strategy and address challenges across multiple markets. The ideal candidate adapts well to changing priorities and business needs while maintaining high performance. Building trust and maintaining the strong relationships established between the local owners and the Director of Business Development will be essential to success. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES 

  • Serve as the primary contact for owners, providing project updates, coordinating across departments, helping to ensure the timely execution of project initiatives. 

  • Present weekly progress to leadership, collaborating with the Chief Development Officer and Director of Business Development to maintain comprehensive team communication. 

  • Lead project meetings with owners, customizing frequency based on site needs, and document key decisions, actions, and follow-ups. 

  • Deliver regular progress reports to the owner on construction, design, and equipment installation, highlighting any outstanding items or timeline issues. 

  • Coordinate with construction teams to collect and present accurate weekly updates, facilitating equipment selection and tracking delivery and installation to meet deadlines. 

  • Identify and resolve potential project delays by promptly notifying relevant teams, helping to ensure timelines are upheld. 

  • Collaborate with the design team to align floor plans, materials, and installations, addressing discrepancies and facilitating design review meetings. 

  • Work closely with marketing to synchronize project milestones with marketing activities, identifying any variances in materials, PR releases, or operational details. 

  • Based on owner feedback, ensure clear communication between construction, marketing, and IT for smooth project execution 

  • Collaborate with Operations Field Leadership and DeNovo managers for consistent messaging, opening timelines, and post-opening follow-up on construction punch list items. 

  • Utilize Sugar, Projectmates, and Monday CRMs to track project tasks and communications 

CAREER DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES 

  • Advancement into management roles within the development team. 

  • Direct oversight of specific regions for de novo growth. 

  • Potential roles in CityVet’s real estate, design, and construction teams. 

 

 ATTRIBUTES OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in animal health, project management, account management, practice management or operations, preferably in veterinary-related fields. 

  • Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills, with a professional demeanor and the ability to discuss sensitive financial topics. 

  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with a proactive approach and the ability to work independently. 

  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM platforms, and familiarity with project management tools; experience with Power BI is a plus.
