Camp Administrator (Seasonal) 

 

The hours of this full-time, seasonal position are from 7a-4p and 9a-6p*, Monday through Friday. Malvern Day Camp runs from June 16 to August 22, 2025. There will be mandatory training dates before camp begins. 

*Rotational schedule with other Directors on the team

Responsibilities 

- Handling correspondence: Answering and routing phone calls, handling emails, and other forms of communication 

- Welcoming visitors: Greeting visitors to the office 

-Ensure schedules are followed. 

-Meet with your team on a weekly basis, providing clear communication on expectations and events 

-Establish and maintain positive working relationships with your team 

-Ensure the health and safety of campers under your care and supervision by following established    

 Malvern Day Camp policies and procedures 

-Provide fun, educational and safe activities for campers  

-Serve as a positive role model to campers, fellow Directors, specialist and counselor teams 

-Submit orders for equipment and supplies when needed in a proactive manner 

-Assist with covering group ratio when needed 

- Able to communicate with families via email and phone in a friendly and professional manner. 

-Coordinate campers' late drop-offs and early pick-ups. 

-Manage our camp communicating system, ensuring each camper has photos uploaded and messages are seen and responded to.  

- Provide front-desk coverage by managing the phone system, greeting guests as arrive at camp, managing incoming/outgoing mail and shipments, and maintaining an organized, clean office environment 

-Generate weekly reports and rosters. 

- Able to speak with families about any concerns and provide support when needed. 

Requirements 

-Elementary Education Degree or in education related field (preferred) 

-Documented Leadership experience 

-Previous experience working with children, examples include but not limited to: tutoring, camp, youth volunteer, or classroom teacher 

-Minimum of 25 years of age 

 

Required upon hire 

-Completed Background Checks (FBI, Child Abuse, Criminal, NSOR) 
-Willingness to complete additional training (Mandated reporting, First Aid/CPR, Water Safety, etc.)
