Responsibilities

  • Municipal Engineering, including design of capital improvement projects, grant work, planning & zoning application reviews
  • Design roads, water, sanitary sewers, and drainage facilities
  • Preparation of construction plans and specifications, public bid documents, construction cost estimates, and associated construction documents
  • Ability to evaluate public work issues in municipalities
  • Ability to address and resolve resident complaints with respect to municipal engineering department inquiries
  • Ability to manage capital improvement construction projects with respect to deadlines and budgets
  • Be familiar with State regulations and requirements
  • Review land development ordinances and applicable agency regulations to determine land development limitations for the property
  • Site Investigation and Due Diligence, including reviewing ordinances and utility service research

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 5 years of experience in engineering design (municipal projects preferred)
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering successful projects
  • Experience managing and supervising the work efforts of assigned staff regarding the scope, schedule, quality and budget of projects
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
