Job Description

The Payroll Clerk position is responsible for processing incoming Payroll documentation, proofing reports for errors, filing, and completing many miscellaneous responsibilities. Previous experience is not required, training is provided. We are looking for an individual that is trainable, willing to learn and masters procedures with minimal supervision.


  • Validate that all paperwork is received and filled out correctly
  • Data entry
  • Verify accuracy of data entry
  • Proof various reports for errors
  • Sort and organize incoming mail
  • Responsible for setting up Federal and State tax withholding and ensuring its accuracy
  • Enter and balance deduction invoices
  • Payroll batch maintenance
  • Organize and handle large mailings
  • Work with seasonal projects such as insurance annual enrollment, Profit Sharing, W-2’s, 1095s
Skills & Requirements

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work productively to meet strict weekly deadlines
  • Typing, 10-key and organizational skills required
  • Must be able to work in a Team environment
  • Strong communication skills a plus
  • Must be willing to work overtime
  • Excellent attendance
  • Positive professional attitude
