Position Purpose

As an Account Executive at Advicent, you will generate new and recurring revenues through the sales and marketing of Advicent's software applications. You will also hunt for new business and employ a consultative sales approach.

What you’re accountable for
  • Manage assigned book of existing customers; including contract renewals and support
  • Generate new business through activities of prospecting, conducting market analysis and cold calling
  • Drive the entire sales process: prioritize and target top prospects, identify solutions, conduct web based software demonstrations, negotiate product pricing and close the sale through contract completion
  • Act as a 'solutions expert' consultant by helping partners with their unique critical business issues and strategic initiatives
  • Work with the entire sales department and other in-house resources to share ideas and new business development strategies 
  • Perform other tasks on projects as needed/assigned by management
  • Develop a high level of product knowledge to demonstrate value through prospect engagements, demos, etc
  • Identify new business opportunities and markets by monitoring industry trends and developments, as well as participating and engaging with LinkedIn through blogging and other means
  • Timely forecasts that accurately reflect sales goals and strategies
  • Utilize CRM and other tools to monitor, report activities, record notes of sales process and ensure execution of tasks
What skills are required
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 1 year of strategic sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated track record in closing new business and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and deliver powerful presentations
  • Understanding of technology systems, Internet applications, as well as CRM systems
  • Series 6, 7, 63, or 65 a plus
  • Financial advising experience desired, but not required
  • A strong mentality focusing on generating and developing new leads
