JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Clinical Specialist position will promote and support the client during ENT surgical procedures. This is a PRN/1099 role. The Clinical Specialist will do on-site support of the client’s devices during the surgical procedures within major US hospitals having close interaction with surgeons. Additionally, the Clinical Specialist is responsible for any follow-up, device support, troubleshooting, customer service and education as required.

*Position based out of greater Chicago area, Indianapolis or Cincinnati with potential travel to Boston, MA and/or occasional travel in other US regions. Must be able to travel, including overnights if necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support to surgeons and OR staff before, during and after cases
  • Interact one-on-one with leading surgeons and hospital stakeholders in key accounts
  • Train surgeons and staff on the product, in-person and remote
  • Collect and report data from surgical cases – written, oral and procedures videos
  • Develop training protocols and best practices, as well as educational materials
  • Support publication of white papers, scientific presentations, and marketing materials
  • Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting support to clients
  • National case support / travel as needed
  • Fulfill quarterly objectives / activities

 

Skills & Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2 years working in the Operating Room – Required
  • Clinical experience in ENT or Otolaryngology – highly desired
  • Bachelor’s Degree –  Required, Sciences or Medical degree preferred
  • Ability to be on time and prepared for each case deployed
  • Strong relationship and consultative selling skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills
  • High attention for detail and excellent follow through
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills and administrative capabilities
  • Ability to adapt and willingness to change
  • Personifies client’s mission, vision and values
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Position will support cases mainly in the Midwestern US region, and occasionally in other US regions, as required
  • Required travel of 50%-75% by automobile, plane or other forms of transportation; 30% overnight
  • Must have valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and overnight when needed
  • While performing the duties of this job, CS is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear; up to 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to pay for expenses and submit receipts for reimbursement since travel is required.
