WRT's San Francisco studio is looking for a landscape architect who is a leading designer and project manager and can translate project goals into human-, ecologically-, and socially-responsive outcomes. This position empowers you to lead projects through all phases of design and construction, collaborating with and guiding our skilled team.
Required Experience / Skills / Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 8 years relevant experience
- Degree in Landscape Architecture
- California Licensure
- Management + Engagement + Design:
- Project management
- Staff management and mentoring
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Public speaking and community/stakeholder engagement
- Design narrative, report, plan writing
- Design and construction documentation (public space and campus landscapes)
- Conceptual phases through construction administration
- Mastery of AutoCAD, MS, and Adobe software
- Business Development:
- Client engagement (trust-building, long-term relationship development)
- Proactively position for work
- Help define and lead future work
- Firm Culture + Development:
- Contribute to positive studio culture by mentoring other landscape team members.
- Build on WRT's commitment to climate adaptation and social equity.
- Create impact by championing an environmental ethos of 'designing with nature' and embracing interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Take initiative to push our design and technical processes toward excellence.
Desired Skills:
- Spanish fluency/proficiency a plus
- Hand drawing for design development and communication
- Familiarity with climate adaptation approaches in coastal and inland environments
- Ecosystem understanding
Compensation & Benefits Include*:
- The expected pay range for this position is $95K - $115K annually, dependent upon education, skills, experience, skillset
