The Food and Nutrition Department on the Manhattan campus is looking for part time (15 hours per week) Food Service Workers to join their team. The work schedule is 12:30 pm to 8:30 pm, 2 days per week. The location is the Upper West side of Manhattan.
Job Summary:
Has general knowledge of food preparation and handling technique; able to execute various food service assignments; able to work as a team member, can work independently given the proper direction. Can provide a clean, safe and neat environment for residents, self and staff.
The essential duties and responsibilities are:

Assists in the storage preparation, portioning and serving food.

Cleans immediate work areas and maintains clean and sanitary work environment

Washing of small wares and equipment, conforming to all sanitary codes and standards

Prepares cold foods, salads and nourishment as needed or required

Performs other related duties as required.
